MODERN SLAVERY STATEMENT
Aqdot is a Cambridge (UK)-based performance chemistry company with a focus and expertise in developing, licensing and selling novel proprietary products.
We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to ensure slavery and human trafficking is not taking place anywhere in our business or supply chains.
We want our suppliers and contractors to support our zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and we have taken the following steps to support this goal:
- Mapped our supply chains and carried out a risk-based assessment of our suppliers
- Written to key suppliers to seek confirmation of their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the Act) or that they have otherwise taken steps to ensure their business and their suppliers’ businesses are, and remain, free from modern slavery
- Updated our standard commercial contract terms to impose obligations upon suppliers that they comply with the Act and take steps to ensure their organisations are free from modern slavery
- Reviewed our internal policies to address modern slavery issues
- Carried out internal training to ensure the risks relating to modern slavery are understood and mitigated
Our review of supplier relationships and internal policies is ongoing.
Our Human Resources Manager, who reports into the CEO, is responsible for overseeing the implementation of policies and procedures and for preparing the annual Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement for the financial year ending 31stDecember 2018.

Applicants – when applying for a role you will be asked to provide your consent to use and hold your personal data. Any information that you may provide to us may help us with our recruitment process. This information will include your name, address, email address, ‘phone numbers, work, education and qualifications history and also your full CV. We are also required by law to collect information regarding your nationality and right to work in the UK.
Website users – we collect a limited amount of data from our website users which we use to help us improve your experience when using our website and to help us manage the services we provide. This includes information such as how you use our website, the frequency with which you access our website and the times that our website is most popular.

HOW DO WE SAFEGUARD YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
We are committed to taking all reasonable and appropriate steps to protect the personal information that we hold from misuse, loss or unauthorised access. We do this by having in place a range of appropriate technical and organisational measures. These include measures to deal with any suspected data breach.
HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR?
Applicants – if you are successful, your personal data will be held in a secure, personal file and your data will then be managed in line with our Aqdot Data Protection Policy. If you are unsuccessful, your personal data will be held in a secure file for a period of 6 months at which point it will be deleted.
Website users – we will delete your personal data from our systems if we have not had meaningful contact with you, or if appropriate, the company you are working for, for a period of two years.
HOW CAN YOU ACCESS, AMEND OR TAKE BACK THE PERSONAL DATA YOU HAVE GIVEN TO US?
Even if we already hold your personal data you have various rights in relation to it. These include the right to object, the right to withdraw consent, subject access request, right to erasure, right to have data corrected or restricted and the right of data portability.
